I have always had a passion for fashion. And so, in 2007, I started a small business placing jewellery and hair accessories for sale in over 20 beauty and hair salons across Derby.

Building on the success of this, I commandeered a corner of my husband Garry’s workshop at his then base in Shardlow. That first Beau Jangle Boutique comprised of jewellery, scarves and a few items of clothing. It soon became clear that ladies liked my choices! With an ever-increasing demand I decided to expand my clothing range.

It was (and still is) very important to me to provide individual style options for my customers – clothing you don’t see every day. And so, to source clothing I wanted to offer, I attended fashion shows up and down the country.

Collections and designs from France and Italy really impressed me and I felt would enable me to help my customers build and create a beautiful look, unique to them.

To this day, a high percentage of the Beau Jangle range is sourced from France and Italy.

Melbourne in Derbyshire was home to Beau Jangle Boutique for three years and since 2016 we have been based at Weston on Trent. Garry’s workshop is based next door – which is particularly useful as Garry fitted out the Boutique to my spec and continues to enhance it when ‘I fancy a change’!
